MPH stands for "master of public health" and that is the graduate degree I earned in 2000 from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. I had two areas of emphasis: health education and global health. --Janelle Allbritton, MPH
Roger Callahan, PhD., was a psychologist based in Southern California when he discovered this technique in the mid 1980s while working with a client that had an extreme phobia of water. During a session with him, she said that she was feeling nauseous. Remembering a lecture he had recently attended given by John Diamond, MD., Dr. Callahan advised his client to tap on her cheekbone just under her eye. She reported that after just a few taps, her discomfort -- and her phobia -- disappeared. This began Dr. Callahan's journey to develop Thought Field Therapy, a technique in which Janelle Allbritton is certified.
Yes, there is a series of 12 workshops that will soon be launched, but the tapping workshop is the first in the series. This was chosen because it is easy to learn and share, and can have profound and rapid results. It is a nice way to get started with learning the tools we offer through Between the Waves.
